Puppetry

Below are just a few of the major corporate companies and organisations I have had the pleasure of creating content for including Marketing Videos, Zoom Meeting Entertainment, Explainer Videos, TV and Online Commercials.

My largest client to date is Google, where I have been fortunate to create regular videos for them. From highly corporate videos for their digital and internal events, including hosting global events where I got to introduce the CEO of Googles parent company Alphabet Inc. to creating entertaining videos to break up 3-4 day online events, including a video where my puppet characters taught an interactive meditation class, parody video of their 'Google Meet' meetings, and a gremlin take over of one of their 'Google Fix-It' events, a yearly seminar where the global teams discuss ways to improve their platform and remedy bugs in the system, that left the audience in stitches.

It has come to a point where no Google digital event is complete without an appearance from my characters and has allowed me to work closely with Google offices around the world.

One of my characters, a parody Trump puppet was booked to appear on US late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

For 2 years I hosted a live, weekly stage variety show at the Sydney night club and Bar, The Midnight Shift, now known as Universal Sydney.

It was a 2 hour show that was LGBT+ community based with local entertainment, performances, interviews with local groups and chats with LGBT+ media organisations.

This was more than just a hosting gig. I produced the entire show from segment ideas, to scripting, to video content, audio components, and arranging talent to appear on the show, which included many celebrity guest appearances.

It always amuses me looking back on this experience. There I was laying on the floor with my hand in the air performing a puppet with a headset microphone on one side of my head and on the other a walkie talkie so I could direct the shows other performers and stage hands.

The show was planned down to the minute, yet done in such a way that it looked like it was total chaos, always with more than one thing happening on stage at any given time, which made the show entertaining for people to come back each week to enjoy.

Not only have I had the opportunity to work with some. of the worlds greatest puppeteers (Noel McNeal / Bear from Bear in the Big Blue House) but I have had the opportunity to train people in puppetry from stage shows to educational videos.

Puppetry is not all 'work' I also play around creating original content with my characters and have a lot of fun producing music video clips from scratch which includes a little bit of auto-tune, a lot of green screen video production and building multi-layered video clips.
